America's Instructional Television Online/Educators Tools Online Opening Links to Standards (AITOL/E-TOOLS) Project

« back

The America's Instructional Television Online/Educators Tools Online Opening Links to Standards (AITOL/E-TOOLS) Project, funded by CPB's Future Fund, was a partnership between WSIU at Southern Illinois University and Kansas City Public Television (KCPT) that explored a new model for delivering educational services and programming to schools. During the year-long pilot, Rockman gathered data from 100 teachers in 24 pilot schools who provided feedback on the technical and instructional issues involved in integrating digital video, the value of aligning Instructional TV (ITV) programming to standards, and the feasibility of the service model proposed by the two PBS stations.
