Advanced Digital Pathways ITEST

« back

BAVC’s Advanced Digital Pathways (ADP) program supports low-income and disadvantaged urban youth from the San Francisco Bay Area, while simultaneously addressing the need to diversify the IT workforce. It provides instruction and internships on three, advanced-educational tracks: Audio Engineering; Video Animation and Gaming; and Open Source Interactive Technologies.

REA's evaluation builds on work from BAVC’s ITEST-funded YouthLink project and investigates the impact of the ADP program on students’ technology interest, career aspirations, digital arts proficiency, and job skills. It also considers the community established to support these endeavors. Evaluators will use surveys, observations, and a sequence of curriculum-embedded assessments to assess program impact. Additionally, evaluators will gather interviews, surveys, and observations to describe the nature of community support.
